So many people have told me that they don't like their camera straps, and a nice comfortable one woven from cotton would be SO MUCH BETTER. I listened and now have camera straps in my product lineup.
At last Friday's Art Tour, it was the hot item!
Here are a few photos of the ones I've been working on.
After playing around with different ways to make the attachments at the ends, I decided on this plastic loop to which I could sew the end of the woven strap and a small 3/8" bit of nylon webbing which will attach to the camera. It works great! I also discovered that many binoculars have the same type of hardware loop on them, so these straps could work for them, too!
And this one, was a special custom order for a friend.

ReplyDeleteCan you make Ranbow splash colour straps for Canon 5D Camera.
ReplyDeleteHi, Mark! I'd love to discuss with you the strap you have in mind. Can you send me an email with more details? Maybe a photo? Use this address: iweavestraps@gmail.com Thanks, Annie
DeleteLove this. Where did you get the hardware for the strap? Is it 2"?
ReplyDeleteHi, Julie. I make my camera straps 1.5" wide. I buy the triangle piece from Ohio Travel Bag and the webbing and adjusters and keepers from a shop on Etsy called Sewing Supplies. Sometimes I make them up as strap kits and sell them in my Etsy shop, but I'm out right now. ~Annie
DeleteThank you for your response. I'd be interested in buying strap kits directly from you when they're (and you're) back on Etsy!
