Scarves!

All summer long my stash of scarf yarn have been sitting in a basket, waiting. As you saw in my last post, I dumped out the basket and started playing. Each scarf combines several different yarns, so I sort and mix and match until I get a combination that I like. When I put them on the loom, sometimes they are in a sort of pattern, like stripes. Often they are mixed at random. The results are fun and surprising.
Here are 2 new scarves I wove this week.
The one above combines baby alpaca in teal with a crazy wool wrapped in bright multi colored cotton.
The one below combines yarns made of corn, baby alpaca, one of organic cotton and milk protein fiber and a very lumpy cotton. I like the texture in this one.
