This week, in preparation for my upcoming show, I've been weaving guitar straps.
Sometimes I get a theme going, or there is one design element that I get hung up on.
This week it's the chain.
Here's the collection so far. Do you see the chains? Have a closer look................................
In the first three it's right in the center of the pattern.
In this one, it's within the turquoise stripe.
So, although they have a common element, they are more different than they are the same.
You can see the whole collection and more at my show next weekend, November 10th & 11th.
It's in Santa Cruz, CA and there are 15 other artists with me in a sweet little backyard garden.
Come sample Laurie's jams & candies, listen to Robin playing the harp, browse and visit.

Those are lovely and bright. I especially like the different shades of blue in the top one.

What fantastic use of colour! I love them all, but I think that the bottom one is my favourite :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice straps! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the compliments!
ReplyDeleteThe photographic color is not the best and I will re-take them for Etsy listings. There are 9 shades of blue, turquoise and teal in that top one. That was fun! I think my favorite might be the one with brown, tan and burgundy just because it was a sort of unusual combination that totally worked.
It's fun to weave things in a series like this.
