Gene did a Google search for "blue jean guitar strap" and was led to my etsy shop.

His beautiful message was an affirmation that I am doing the right thing. Here are some excerpts:
"I have a couple of guitars that are special to me.
After looking at the prices on Musicians Friend and some other sites for guitar straps, I decided your inkle loomed straps were for me and my special guitars.
I love your art and somehow, I feel your sprit is in tune with what my artist wife and I are into.
Plus I just could not stop looking at the pattern, and how well it was made.
So basically I spent way more for guitar straps than I planned, but I am sure every penny was worth it.
You are producing ART, keep up the good work!"
An unusual type of motif for me which I made up as I went along. This one was called "Radiating Reds" because of the gradation of colors going from light in the center to dark on the borders. |
Beautiful feed-back on your beautiful work! How wonderful to know the straps are going to people that truly appreciate them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this experience with your customer!
ReplyDeleteYour work is truly beautiful. And there is nothing else that I want more than you to make bag straps for my woven bag.
The original pattern i chose was designed with the straps as part of the bag. But once i met you and saw what you can do with your Inkle loom - I made my mind up that the bag MUST have straps made my YOU!
Now, all I have to do it to actually weave it! Using all handspun yarns is the plan! I have those! Just need to finish a lovely piece that is currently living on the loom. (I say living because after being there for over a year, it is "living" on my loom!)
I am so happy that you are finding more and more customers who appreciate you and your creativity and skill. Just like your new customer instantly recognized your talent and skill, the minute I saw your blog and your work I popped it in my reader so fast there was smoke in the air! I know a good thing and i know talent when i see them!
Thank you, thank you, Pam and Evelyn. Yes, I agree that it is great to hear from customers about what they liked about my work and how they plan to use it.
