Design Elements - Chains

A chain happens when two single lines undulating in opposite directions collide. Because they add a more interesting element than simple lines, I use chains in many of my designs.

FOR SIMPLICITY OF USE, CONSIDER THE TOP ROW TO BE HEDDLED THREADS AND THE BOTTOM ROW TO BE OPEN THREADS ON ALL OF THE DRAFTS.

A chain can make a great focal point in the center of a pattern.

Here are a few different placements.

    1. Hi. I have not made dog collars, so I am not a good source of information on how to do it. I do make camera straps and you can see them here: https://aspinnerweaver.blogspot.com/2013/06/camera-and-binocular-straps.html
I sell the ends as a kit in my Etsy shop. There are no written instructions as the parts are pretty simple. If you have more questions, please send me an email (a faster way to get a response) at iweavestraps@gmail.com ~Annie

    1. Salut.
